 Academy of Students of Pharmacy (School Council)
The purpose of this organization is to encourage the advancement of pharmacy as a profession, especially by fostering education in matters involving areas of pharmacy practice, assisting in the development of pharmaceutical technology, and promoting the health of all patients. 

Accounting Club
The aims of this club is to provide a professional association between students and accounting faculty members and practicing accountants to promote the collegiate study of accountancy. It also strives to foster in its members a desire for self improvement, high ethical and moral standards, and a sense of responsibility and service. It encourages and gives recognition to scholastic and professional excellence. 

Activity and Program Council
This official student programming board provides quality education and entertainment programs for students, faculty, staff and community of UMKC.

The African American Student Union
The African American Student Union's (TAASU) goals include providing information about African American Culture, acting as a liaison between students and the administration, linking students with positive role models and assisting to eliminate racial tension at UMKC.

African Student Cultural Organization
The aim of the African Student Cultural Organization (ASCO) is to bring African students at UMKC together. It will also assist in the smooth transition and integration of new African students into the UMKC community, inform African students about issues in Africa, organize academic and cultural events that meet the needs of the African students and promote the awareness of African issues and culture, and to cooperate whenever possible, with other campus based organizations interested in African history and issues.

AID - Association for India's Development
AID is a non-profit organization that supports a wide variety of social development projects towards life for the poor and underprivileged in India.

 

Allied Students at UMKC

The purpose of this organization is to coordinate the activities of UMKC student organizations on events they commonly believe in.

Alpha Delta Pi
Alpha Delta Pi is the oldest national sorority for women, founded in 1851. This sorority is dedicated to sincere friendship and the enrichment of learning. The sisterhood of ADPi holds a bond that is lifelong, pure and true. 
 
Alpha Kappa Alpha
Alpha Kappa Alpha is the first African American Greek sorority founded in 1908.  It has chapters in all 50 states as well as international chapters. The sisterhood is strong, proud and one of distinction. 


Alpha Lambda Delta
To honor excellent academic achievement by students in their first year of study in their undergraduate education; Encouraging superior academic achievement to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning and to assist students in recognizing and developing meaningful roles in society; Conducts programs to encourage superior classroom performance, which includes awards, national workshops, campus activities, scholarships, fellowships and loans.  


Alpha Phi Alpha  
The objectives of Alpha Phi Alpha shall be to stimulate the ambitious of its members; to prepare them for the greatest usefulness in the causes of humanity, freedom and dignity of the individual; to encourage the highest and noblest form of manhood. 


Alpha Phi Omega
Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Omega carries out service programs aimed at serving the chapter, campus, community, and nation with emphasis on serving primarily the UMKC campus and the Kansas City area. 


Alpha Sigma Lambda
This UMKC chapter, Lambda Pi serves as an organization that recognizes academically outstanding students in continuing higher education.

American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists
This organization strives to enhance student participation at undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels in AAPS activities at a regional level. This would provide students in pharmaceutical sciences with leadership and professional advancement opportunities.


American Association of Dental Research
This group generates student interest in dental research; provide opportunities for discussion of research interest; assist in obtaining funding for student research projects; communicate with local, regional, national and international dental research groups to disseminate research ideas; and provide funding for student members to attend annual regional and national meetings.

American Association of Women Dentists
The members of this organization strive to meet other women dentists and dental students.

American Choral Directors Association
This organization is committed to the promotion of choral singing in all aspects to ensure that it attains the highest level possible in musicianship and artistic performance. This group is also interested in promoting the intelligent understanding of choral music as an important medium of artistic expression.  It cooperates with all organizations dedicated to the development of music culture in America.

American Civil Liberties Union 
This Union maintains and advances civil liberties, including the freedoms of association, press, religion and speech, and the right to franchise, due process and equal protection of the law for all people through all legitimate and appropriate means. All policy statements and actions of the chapter shall be consistent with ACLU national and the parent affiliate and, further, the chapter may not issue policy statements to the press on behalf of national of affiliate ACLU.

American Constitutional Law Society

To provide educational and social opportunities for students and the community to learn about how the law affects each citizen.

 

American Institute of Architecture Students 
The aims of this Chapter is to promote excellence in architectural education, training and practice; foster an appreciation of architecture and related discipline; and to organize architecture students to advance the science and art of architecture. 

American Humanics

The mission of this organization is to focus our concerted energies on raising the funds for the capstone of our American Humanics curriculum certification to be held annually at the American Humanics Institute. Educational means will be incorporated with our quest and develeopment of Not-For-Profit Leadership skills.

American Medical Student Association
This organization strives to serve the varied interests of medical students in their school and careers on the local and national levels.

American Medical Women's Association
This organization is open to all members of the student body, whose purpose is to promote further understanding of the individual in medicine. This group also offers an opportunity for fellowship among all members of the health care field. Activities include special speakers, field trips and social gatherings. 

American Psychological Association - Student Affiliate Group
This group encourages professional development within the field of Counseling Psychology for any UMKC student interested in such.  It also serves as a meeting time for the members to discuss issues and concerns of the UMKC Counseling Psychology doctoral program.  It encourages students to organize educational, social and fund-raising events, and to act as a liaison with the counseling psychology faculty and the UMKC community.

American Society of Civil Engineers
American Society of Civil Engineers exists to acquaint its members with the responsibilities of the engineering profession, to promote a sense of professionalism, to provide them with valuable educational experiences, and to foster friendship among them.

American Society of Dentistry for Children
An organization dedicated to the advancement of the total physical, mental, and oral  health of children, through the dissemination of knowledge to health professionals and the public. 

American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers
The purpose of this organization is to advance the arts and sciences of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning and related human factors for the benefit of students and the general public.

American Society of Mechanical Engineers
The purpose of this organization is to advance and disseminate knowledge of the theory and practice of mechanical engineering, to present a proper perspective of engineering work and to give an opportunity to become acquainted with the personnel and activities of the Society as well as to promote professional awareness and fellowship. 

American Student Dental Association
This association strives to contribute to the welfare of dental students, represent their concerns, effect needed change in dental education, promote and encourage participation in dentistry programs, and to demonstrate a firm substantive commitment to the provision of oral health care to all people.

Amnesty International
The purpose of this organization is to assist in the releasing of prisoners of conscience, to help assure fair and prompt trials for all political prisoners, and to follow the Universal Declaration of Human Rights as adopted by the United Nations in 1948.

Animal Law Society
The purpose of this organization is to foster critical debate and thought about the application of animal-rights principles to the law. The society embraces the principles that the common law classification of non-human animals as personal property must be reformed to increase the legal status of non-human animals in order to assure them greater protection under the law.  They seek to promote an awareness of these principles and to further their application through it's activities.

Arab Students' Association
To promote the Arab culture, to unite Arab and Non-Arab students to combat discrimination of Arabs or any minority.

Arts and Sciences Student Council (School Council)
This council aims to provide a body where Arts and Sciences students can provide input on decisions and policies of the college, to allocate the authorized budget, to insure that Arts and Science students' needs, desire and attitudes are correctly represented to the administration and to enhance student-faculty interaction and communication.

Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association
The purpose is to address Asian health issues and policy; to provide opportunities to service the community; and to address challenges in the career advancement.

Associated Students of the University of Missouri (ASUM)
The purpose of this organization is to educate students about the political process, to increase political awareness, concern, and participation among students, to provide the public with information concerning student interests, and to channel student energy and interest in the governmental decision-making  process.

Association for Computing Machinery
The objectives of this organization are to promote knowledge of modern computing machinery,  to promote a greater interest in computing machinery and its application, and to  provide a means of communication between people who have interest in computing machinery.

Association of Latin American Students
This organization aims to provide a base of support for Latin American students in terms of social, cultural, and academic development.

Association of Malaysian Students
This organization represents the interest of Malaysian students and their dependents in all matters that may affect them during their stay in the United States, helps new Malaysian students adjust to the campus life, promotes the understanding of the Malaysian culture and way of life, fosters a spirit of understanding and cooperation among Malaysian students, the University and local community. 

Association of Music Therapy Students
This organization promotes the establishment and growth of the UMKC music therapy program, serves as a representative body for music therapy students at UMKC and cooperates with the Regional Association for Music Therapy.

Association of Women Law Students
This association brings together women in the Law School through meetings and special activities.

Association of Women Students
The purpose of the organization is to enhance women and other students' interests in women's issues and diversify related activities.

Bach Society of UMKC

The purpose of this organization is to provide a forum for sharing the joy of Johann Sebastian Bach through listening, performing and discussing.

 

Beta Alpha Psi
This organization aims to provide a professional association for  students with common career goals, to provide interaction between students and faculty, to instill a desire for self-improvement, to foster high ethical standards, to encourage and give  recognition to excellence, to cultivate a sense of responsibility and service, to promote the  collegiate study of accounting, and to provide interaction between  members and practicing accountants.

Beta Sigma Phi
The object of this chapter shall be to unite congenially young women of the community for purposes of friendship and cultural development and for participation in the international sisterhood of Beta Sigma Phi.

Beta Theta Pi
The purpose of this fraternity is to develop a spirit of loyalty to the school, to the General Fraternity of Beta Theta Pi and to this colony, and to promote the educational, social, and cultural development of its members.

Biological Sciences Student Government (School Council)
This council serves as the governing body for students in the Biological Life Sciences School. The council organizes activities that promote the interaction of Biological Sciences students academically as well as socially.

Black Law Students Association 
The purpose of this organization is to promote the professional needs and goals of Black American law students, to focus upon the relationship of the Black attorney to the American legal structure, and to instill in the Black American law student a greater awareness of commitment to the needs of the Black community.

Bloch School Student Association (School Council)
BSSA serves as the governing body for students enrolled in the Bloch School. It strives to insure an education of the highest quality for the citizens of the Bloch School.

Bravi!  The UMKC Opera Club
The mission of Bravi! is to expand and promote student opera activities at UMKC and the community at large through education, publicity, performance, and travel.

Chemistry Graduate Students Association
This organization is geared towards graduate students in the field of chemistry.

Chi Omega
Chi Omegas are a close knit group of friends with an enthusiastic spirit dedicated to upholding the ideals that have lasted through the years. They take pride in their community service, high standards and social activities.  This diverse group of women is committed to high scholastic ideals tempered with a taste for adventure and a flair for fun.

Chinese Christian Fellowship
The organization’s central goal is to share the gospel of God with Christians and non-Christians on the campus, especially Chinese students and faculty members of UMKC.

Chinese Scholars & Students Association
CSSA offers the necessary assistance to all Chinese students and scholars and collects and distributes any information relevant to China and Chinese.

Christian Legal Society
This society provides information to and support for the students of the Law School in spiritual, personal, academic, community and professional endeavors.
 

Christian Medical/Dental Society
This society strives to aid Christian physicians, medical students, and others in the health profession to attain maturity in Christ, to present a positive witness of God, our Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ to the health profession and to the recipients of health care.

Christian Student Ministries
CSM is an evangelical Christian Organization devoted to developing God-Focused, multiplying disciples in the context of authentic community. Our hope is to provide a caring community where UMKC Students can learn to follow Jesus, nurturing the spiritual side of their lives.

Classics Club

The purpose of this organization is to promote the appreciation of classics, provide students with the opportunity to engage in activities surrounding the discipline of classics as well as provide the forum for personal expression and growth through discourse and the fellowship of the club.

College Community

This organization strives to foster a community of college students on the UMKC campus who desire to follow God in the way of Jesus.

 

College Democrats
College Democrats is an informed, active group of students committed to bringing about positive social change on behalf of the Democratic Party. We aim to elect Democrats, train and engage new generations of progressive activists, and shape the Democratic Party with voices of America's youth.

College Republicans
College Republicans is the nation’s largest, and oldest, Republican student organization.  Founded more than 100 years ago, College Republicans is dedicated to the promotion of conservative ideas and the election of conservative leaders to all levels of government.

 

Collegiate Music Educators National Conference
This organization enjoys its associations and shared responsibilities to increase interest and knowledge in all areas of music education.

Communiversity Student Organization
The purpose of the group is to support the Communiversity’s ideal of sharing skills and ideas with others, to encourage UMKC students to convene classes, publicize this free service and introduce UMKC students to community at large.

Composers Guild
The purpose of this organization shall be to promote the composition of new works, to facilitate the further education of its members and the general public, and to encourage discussion and the exchange of ideas between its members.

Conservatory Dance Association
The objective of this organization shall be to facilitate the further education of its members through its support of senior recital, the bringing in of guest artist, departmental improvements, and building the productions and scholarship funds for dance.

Conservatory of Music Bassoon Association

The purpose of this organization shall be to support the study of the bassoon and promote bassoon awareness in the campus community.

Conservatory Student Association (School Council)
CSA provides for orderly representation and method of government for all duly enrolled students of the Conservatory of Music.

Cul inary Arts Student Association
The purpose of this organization is to facilitate an appreciation of the culinary arts by fostering a creative, multicultural environment in which to share knowledge and develop skills.

Dance Dance Revolution
The purpose of the organization shall be to provide entertainment and exercises for university students through the game of Dance Dance Revolution and/or Dance Simulation Game Stepmania.

Debate Forum

Delta Rho
Delta Rho is made up of a very special and unique group of women who have come together to form a lifelong bond. They strive to make the best of the college experience by emphasizing social activities, academics, philanthropic activities and most of all, friendship. Delta Rho is a strong, local, diverse group, linked by the common values of charity, trust, loyalty, determination and friendship. Delta Rho takes pride in the close sisterhood formed at UMKC and wish to share it with others.

Delta Sigma Delta
The object of this organization shall be to keep high the standards of dentistry by inculcating in the minds of dental students and practitioners a spirit of fraternal cooperation toward scientific, ethical and professional progress.

Delta Sigma Pi
This is a professional fraternity organized to foster the study of business in universities; encourage scholarship, social activity and the association of students, promote closer affiliation between the commercial world and students of commerce, and to further a higher standard of commercial ethics and culture and the civic and commercial welfare of the community.

Delta Sigma Theta
The principle purpose of this public service organization shall be cultural and educational, to establish, maintain, and encourage high cultural, intellectual, and moral standards among its members, to engage in public service programs and to promote and encourage achievement in education, through public service projects, to worthy and deserving members of the organization and to other individuals at its discretion.

Delta Theta Phi
This law fraternity perpetuates in every member the application of the highest standards of personal integrity, diligence, candor and trust, of individual responsibility, of respect for law, rights and property of others and the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct in the study, practice and teaching of the law. This organization also strives to bring together men and women such as the founders of the Fraternity for fraternal, scholastic, and social purposes.

Delta Zeta
Delta Zeta is built on a lifelong commitment to sisterhood. Philanthropic events such as the Big Man on Campus, Walk in Silence and adopting a family during the holidays are a few of the activities that bond the women of Delta Zeta. Formals, mixers and date parties are some of the social functions that Delta Zeta sponsors. It is the largest international sorority, with chapters throughout the United States and Canada.

Dental Interfraternity Council
The Dental IFC coordinates the efforts of the three dental fraternities at UMKC  (Delta Sigma Delta, Psi Omega, and Xi Psi Phi) to assure harmony and a positive relationship among the groups.

Dental Student Association (School Council)
This organization represents the student body of the School of Dentistry in all matters pertaining to dental students; aid the faculty and student body to work and communicate effectively; to act as liaison for the students; and to promote a professional attitude toward the dental profession.

Earth Works

The purpose of the organization shall be to present and descuss material pertinent to current environmental issues, promote and advocate environmental-friendly habits, and provde opportunities to visit field sites that relate to environmental sciences.


Earthcare
This group's main objective is to help preserve the ecosystem by promoting public awareness through campus activities, newsletters, and networking with campus and community based groups. This group strives to give people the opportunity to become actively involved in current environmental issues and organize action to address these issues. Beyond campus activities, this organization offers support to other outside organization in the community who are pursuing environmental issues.

Economics Club
The purpose of the club shall be: to encourage a greater understanding of economics issues; to foster enhanced participation in community, university and national activities in the field of economics; to create a forum for expounding ideas; and to facilitate the cooperation of faculty and students in an informal setting.

The Edge Christian Fellowship
The purpose of this organization is to foster, promote, and teach the precepts of Jesus Christ on the campus of the University of Missouri - Kansas City and throughout the world.

  The Educators of UMKC
The purpose of this organization is to provide the campus with an added point of news, events and opinions expressed from student of African descent, a voice for the black student community on campus.  To provide special added services in the area of need, literacy and to produce effective writers.

Environmental Studies Student Association
The purpose of this organization is to create interaction between students interested in Environmental Studies.

Environmental Law Society
The purpose of this organization is to raise awareness of environmental issues on campus with a focus on those pertaining to but not limited to the field of environmental law.

Eta Kappa Nu
This organization strives to provide an atmosphere that will harbor a closer union between those in the profession of Electrical Engineering who has exemplified distinguished scholarship, leadership and charity.

Euphonium and Tuba Consortium

The purpose of the organization shall be to promote the performance and appreciation of the Euphonium and the Tuba on the UMKC Campus and outside the community at large.

 European Club
The purpose of this organization is to promote cross-cultural understanding between Europeans, Americans, and students of other nationalities.  It also serves to assist European students in the Kansas City area.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes
The purpose of this organization shall be to present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.

Filipino-American Student Association
This organization shall have several purposes.  First, to enhance interactions between Filipinos and other students, faculty, and staff of UMKC.  Second, to promote the Philippines through cultural, educational and social activities.  Third, to unite other Filipino Student Organizations in the Midwest.

Financial Investors Club
This organization is dedicated to improving the lives of others by promoting a greater understanding of financial markets.

Financial Management Association
The purpose of this organization is to assist in the professional, educational, and social development of college students interested in finance, banking and investments; to provide an association for college students actively interested in these fields; and to encourage interaction between business executives, faculty, and students of business and finance.

Gamelan Genta-Katusuri Ensemble

The purpose of this organization is to promote the Balines gamelan music and culture to the UMKC community and Kansas City in general through concerts, seminares and open rehearsals.

 

Geology Club
The club provides a professional and social atmosphere for the study of geology outside the classroom through, study sessions, lectures, field trips, social events, and other means of student encouragement.

Geriatric Medicine Interst Group
The purpose of this organization shall be to carry out a program aimed at expanding the knowledge of UMKC students in the field of Geriatric Medicine and related subjects such as psychology, sociology, and career development.

German Club (Deutsche Club)
This club discusses and experiences German life and culture, and enable students to gain new perspectives toward the language and its people.
 

Global Medical Relief Program (GlobeMed)
It is the mission of The Global Medical Relief Program: To promote quality health care in under-served communities around the world by working with local doctors and health care professionals and by providing medical supplies and equipment; To provide dental, hygiene, and basic health care supplies in areas of natural disaster; To promote human rights in developing regions by improving health infrastructure; To participate in a global community of organizations which are similarly dedicated to providing health care in developing regions.


Golden Key International Honor Society
This society strives to recognize and encourage scholastic achievement and excellence in all undergraduate field of study, and to promote scholastic achievement and conduct through voluntary service.

Graduate Art History Association
Graduate Art History Association strives to increase opportunities for scholarly and professional enrichment in the art field.


Graduate Employee Organization

The purpose of this organization is to provide a forum for the discussion of issues common to Graduate Assistants across the curriculum, to improve the standard of instruction, to encourage teacher and student experimentation in course content, curriculum and methodology, toward achievement of quality education, to provide research services and activities designed to assist and support objectives of the organization. The organization shall provide opportunities for the general fellowship of UMKC graduate students, as well as to foster support on campus and in the community for graduate employee interests.

 

Graduate Forum for the Visual Arts

The purpose of this organization is to promote interest in the history and practice of art. Provide fellowship among students and faculty. Represent student needs and wants regards to the arts. Provide a forum for the presentation of innovative ideas to the benefit of the University community and the Fine Arts department.

 

#Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol (GAMMA)
To bring together Greek students to support system wide programs and solutions to ongoing problems associated with alcohol abuse and related health issues on campus.  It is the mission of this organization to actively promote peer education as a useful element of campus health and wellness efforts.

Health Law Society
This organization is an interdisciplinary organization formed to explore the issues that arise in medicine and the law and to provide a forum in which students and faculty can become involved in medical and legal issues.

Hispanic Dental Association (HDA)

The purpose of this organization is to provide members an opportunity to participate and deal with Hispanic oral health care issues; to stimulate interest and encourage entry of Hispanics into oral health care professions and into our school; to promote with other student associations with similar objectives; and to collaborate with other student organizations with similar objectives.

 

Hispanic Law Students Association
The purpose of HLSA shall be to articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of Hispanic Law students by utilizing the collective resources of the law school and the legal community.

History Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to promote the appreciation of history.  It will provide students with the opportunity to engage in activities surrounding the discipline of history as well as provide the forum for personal expression and growth through discourse and the fellowship of the club.

Horn Club
The promotion of music and horn playing in the greater Kansas City area is the aim of the HC.

Indian Students Association
The purpose of this organization is to enhance the understanding of Indian culture at UMKC.

Indonesian Student Association
The purpose of this organization is to promote Indonesian culture. It strives to assist its members adapt to the Kansas City lifestyle and educate the surrounding populous about Indonesian culture.

INDUS - United Students of India
This group&#8217;s main purpose is to provide social and cultural activities for both members and interested non-members and to allow for the entire student community of UMKC to benefit from it. 

Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers
Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers disseminates information relative to the theory and practice of all aspects of electrical engineering.

Institute of Management Accountants
This chapter furthers the purpose and objectives of the Institute of Management Accountants through its various activities that promote communication between its members and the regular members of the Association. This Chapter also strives to maintain and increase its membership.

Intellectual Property Law Society
Educates members about recent developments in the areas of patent law, copyright, trademark, trade secrets, computer law, etc.
 

Interdisciplinary Doctoral Student Council (School Council)
The purpose of the group shall be to provide an opportunity for doctoral students to interact with each other and to support the students in their academic and research endeavors.


Interfraternity Council
The purpose of this organization is to provide Greek unity among the UMKC social fraternities.

International Federation of Medical Student Association

The purpose of this organization is to provide support for those medical students who choose to perform a rotation off campus.

 

International Law Society

Pakistani Student Association
The PSA-UMKC shall be a social/cultural organization representing the culture and rich traditions of the Pakistan.
